Have Your Say about The Epping Town Centre Study!

The Epping Town Centre Study has been prepared by a consultant on behalf of Hornsby and Parramatta Councils and the Department of Planning and Infrastructure to explore the potential for the Town Centre to accommodate increased residential and employment growth.

Hornsby Shire Council is seeking your feedback on the recommendations of the Study that relate to land within Hornsby Shire. (Note: The Study also applies to land within Parramatta City local government area. Parramatta City Council has noted the contents of the Study but has not endorsed it : read Statement from Parramatta City Council).

Hornsby Council is only seeking feedback on the key recommendations that relate to land within Hornsby Shire.

The Study recommends the establishment of new Heritage Conservation Areas in East Epping, Essex Street and Rosebank Avenue and the identification of new heritage items.

The Study proposes 5 areas (Residential Intensification Precincts) for increased housing density outside the Town Centre Core.

The Study proposes 5 areas (Residential Intensification Precincts) for increased housing density outside the Town Centre Core, to provide opportunity for approximately 1,300 new dwellings in the form of town houses and residential units up to 6 storeys.
